Which sage cursed shakuntala
When Shakuntala heard the cause, she was frightened and begged the sage to forgive her. The sage said that he could not the back the curse but he could change, if she showed Dushyanta something he had given her then he will remember again about her. Due to the curse Dushyanta forgot Shakuntala. After days of waiting for him to return, Shakuntala decided to go to the capital to meet him. On the way, as Shakuntala was crossing a river, her wedding ring fell into the water. A fish swallowed the ring.
When Shakuntala arrived at the palace, the king did not recognize her. He asked her to prove her identity but Shakuntala didn't have the ring to show him, as it was lost. She wept and told the king about the time he had spent with her in the forest but he couldn't remember anything. Feeling sad she left the palace. Ashamed to return to her father's home, she started living alone in another part of the forest where she gave birth to a son.
She called him Bharata. Bharata was a brave boy. He grew up among the animals of the forest and would play with wild animals. One day at the king's palace, a fisherman brought him a ring. He told the king that he had found the ring in the stomach of a fish that he had brought it straight to him. Goddess Saraswati. Goddess Lakshmi, whom he cursed to be separated from her husband. Kandali, whom he cursed to death. Rukmi was killed by Balarama because he cheated Balarama in a dice game.
Satyabhama was quite beautiful and loved and adored Krishna very much. She was rumored to be a materialistic person and was proud of her beauty. But she always felt that it was Rukmini who stole all her glory.
Her vanity caused a rise in her ego and hence she bore Rukmini an envy that burned inside her. And this newfound feeling for her husband made Radha whole again… North India says that Radha killed herself after Krishna left her.
Nigam explained that mythology says that Lord Krishna constructed Dwarka after snatching land from the sea. She tried to remind him that she was his wife but without the ring, Dushyanta did not recognize her. Humiliated, she returned to the forests and, collecting her son, settled in a wild part of the forest by herself. Here she spent her days while Bharata, her son, grew older.
Surrounded only by wild animals, Bharata grew to be a strong youth and made a sport of opening the mouths of tigers and lions and counting their teeth. Meanwhile, a fisherman was surprised to find a royal ring in the belly of a fish he had caught.
He continued deeper into the forest to find his wife and came upon a surprising scene in the forest: a young boy had pried open the mouth of a lion and was busy counting its teeth. The king greeted the boy, amazed by his boldness and strength, and asked his name. He was surprised when the boy answered that he was Bharata, the son of King Dushyanta.
